The Bread Break Board of Directors is a Working Board, which requires members to actively partake in dedicated volunteerism outside of board meetings each month. We have a very small staff of 1.25 FTE, so individual board members must work directly with the executive director and program coordinator to help us maintain and expand our mission.
Board members also establish policies and directives governing business and programs of Bread Break and provide oversight and direction to staff and volunteers. Board members are actively involved in numerous Standing Committees and temporary Task Forces. The Bread Break Board meets the 4th Thursday of each month at 5:30pm at our offices located at 5001 E Madison St in Sioux Falls.
Our Vision Statement: By December 2026, led by our Executive Director, Bread Break is collecting and distributing unused, otherwise discarded food to more than 45 organizations across the Sioux Empire.
